When writing a review of any sort, a wealth of consideration goes into it. I understand that while positive reviews enact positive reactions, that negative reviews enact negative reactions, and either reaction creates change and makes a difference. If I’m being honest with myself, giving my honest thoughts after meeting everyone, considering every product, every restaurant, and every store has a person at its creation has me feeling guilty. Then I question myself if my loyalty should be to the kindness I’ve felt, loyal to the people that I can’t see who might have a comparing reception, or should my loyalty be to my own personal honesty?
Then I remember that life is like a library and each person is a book that fills each shelf. As our consciousness walks through the halls there are books that we love that we place on display, there are books that hold our notes in the margins, books we don’t even like but we hold dear to use, and even books that we’ve long forgotten but refuse to get rid of for sentimental reasons. Who knows. Every library is different and every librarian has their own way of deciding, organizing, loving, hating, caring, and sharing.
Each review is an extension of my consciousness, it’s a peek into my library, an honest unfiltered mind jumble of observations and feelings.
I don’t intend to change my library’s methodology for the guilt of the unknown. So in every aspect, I have every intention of being honest with myself, and in turn every eye behind the screens that happens to end up here
The library of a picky person.
